Range Rover HSE Steering Rack Replacement Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we are committed to delivering high-quality service for luxury vehicles like the Range Rover HSE. Recently, we completed a steering rack replacement job for a client whose vehicle was experiencing difficulty in steering, unusual noises, and a lack of responsiveness. After conducting a thorough inspection, we identified several issues contributing to the problem. Here are the issues we found and the solutions we provided:

Issues Identified and Solutions:

  1. Worn-Out Steering Rack: The steering rack was found to be worn out, leading to increased steering effort, vibrations, and poor handling.
    Solution:
We replaced the worn-out steering rack with a high-quality OEM replacement, restoring smooth, effortless steering and improving overall handling.
  2. Leaking Power Steering Fluid: The power steering fluid was leaking due to damaged seals and hoses, which resulted in low fluid levels and caused the steering system to malfunction.
    Solution:
We replaced the damaged seals and hoses, refilled the system with high-quality power steering fluid, and ensured no leaks to restore the system’s pressure and performance.
  3. Damaged Steering Rack Mounting Bushings: The steering rack mounting bushings were damaged, which led to excessive play in the steering system and caused noises and instability when turning the wheel.
    Solution:
We replaced the worn mounting bushings with new OEM-grade components, ensuring proper alignment and stability, which restored precise steering control.
  4. Faulty Power Steering Pump: The power steering pump was malfunctioning, leading to inconsistent steering assist and difficulty in turning, especially at lower speeds.
    Solution:
We replaced the faulty power steering pump with a high-quality OEM pump, ensuring smooth and consistent steering assistance across all driving conditions.
  5. Damaged Steering Rack U-Joint: The U-joint connecting the steering rack to the steering column was found to be damaged, which caused resistance and made turning the wheel harder than usual.
    Solution:
We replaced the damaged U-joint with a new part, ensuring smooth rotation and eliminating the stiffness, allowing for responsive and effortless steering.
