Recently, our team completed an Electric Power Steering Rack Repair for a Range Rover Vogue in Dubai. We replaced the faulty steering motor with a high-quality, OEM-grade motor, restoring proper steering assistance and ensuring smooth, effortless steering at all speeds. - Damaged Steering Rack Sensor: The steering rack sensor, which plays a crucial role in detecting the steering angle and providing feedback to the power steering system, was damaged, causing erratic steering behavior and issues with alignment.
Solution:
We replaced the damaged sensor with a new, OEM-quality sensor, ensuring that the steering system was accurately aligned and that feedback to the motor was precise, restoring optimal driving performance. - Electrical Wiring Issues: The electrical wiring that connects the power steering motor to the vehicle’s ECU had worn out, leading to poor communication between the motor and control systems, resulting in a lack of steering assistance.
Solution:
We repaired the damaged wiring, ensuring all connections were secure and functioning properly. This restored full communication between the steering motor and the vehicle’s control systems, ensuring the power steering functioned as it should. - Low Power Steering Fluid Pressure: Despite being an electric system, the power steering fluid levels were low, which can affect the cooling system for the electric motor and cause additional wear.
