Meta Mechanics recently completed a “Check Engine Light On” diagnosis and repair for a Range Rover SV in Dubai. Our expert technicians identified several critical issues that were triggering the warning light and affecting the engine’s performance. Below are the issues we found and the solutions we provided to resolve them:
Issue Found:
- Faulty Oxygen Sensor
- Issue: The oxygen sensor was malfunctioning, leading to incorrect readings of the exhaust gases and triggering the Check Engine light.
- Solution: We replaced the faulty oxygen sensor with a high-quality OEM replacement, ensuring accurate exhaust readings and improving fuel efficiency and emissions control.
- Worn Spark Plugs
- Issue: The spark plugs were worn, causing misfires and poor combustion, which resulted in a rough idle, reduced engine performance, and the Check Engine light turning on.
- Solution: We replaced the worn spark plugs with new, high-performance plugs, restoring proper ignition, smooth engine operation, and improved fuel efficiency.
- Loose or Damaged Gas Cap
- Issue: The gas cap was loose or damaged, causing a fuel vapor leak and triggering the Check Engine light.
- Solution: We replaced the damaged gas cap and ensured it was securely tightened, preventing fuel vapor leaks and ensuring proper fuel system pressure.
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
- Issue: The MAF sensor was faulty, affecting the air-to-fuel ratio and causing the engine to run inefficiently, which resulted in the Check Engine light being triggered.
- Solution: We replaced the faulty MAF sensor with a new, calibrated unit to restore accurate air-to-fuel ratio readings, ensuring optimal engine performance and fuel efficiency.
- Low Fuel Pressure
- Issue: Low fuel pressure due to a malfunctioning fuel pump or clogged fuel filter was affecting engine performance and causing the Check Engine light to illuminate.
- Solution: We replaced the faulty fuel pump and fuel filter, restoring proper fuel pressure and ensuring consistent engine performance, eliminating the Check Engine light.
