Range Rover SV Brake Oil Change Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we specialize in providing exceptional maintenance and repair services for luxury vehicles like the Range Rover SV. Recently, we completed a brake oil change for a Range Rover SV in Dubai. During our comprehensive inspection, we identified several issues that could affect the vehicle’s braking performance. Below are the problems we found and the solutions we provided:

Identified Issues & Solutions:

  1. Old and Contaminated Brake Fluid: The brake fluid was old and contaminated, which can cause decreased braking performance, and increase the risk of brake system failure.
    Solution:
We flushed out the old brake fluid and replaced it with fresh, high-quality, DOT-approved brake fluid to ensure optimal braking efficiency and prevent moisture build-up that could lead to corrosion.
  2. Air in the Brake Lines: During the inspection, we noticed that air bubbles had entered the brake lines, which can cause spongy brake pedal feel and reduced braking response.
    Solution:
We performed a full brake fluid bleed to remove air from the lines, restoring the brake pedal feel to its proper firmness and ensuring consistent braking performance.
  3. Brake Fluid Leakage: We found signs of minor brake fluid leakage around the brake lines, which could have led to a drop in brake fluid levels over time.
    Solution:
We repaired any brake line leaks, replacing damaged seals or hoses to ensure the brake fluid system remained sealed and operational, preventing further fluid loss.
  4. Incorrect Brake Fluid Levels: The brake fluid level was lower than the recommended level, which could have compromised the hydraulic pressure in the brake system and affected braking efficiency.
    Solution:
We topped up the brake fluid to the manufacturer-recommended levels, ensuring the brake system maintains proper hydraulic pressure for reliable and safe braking.
  5. Signs of Contaminants in the Brake Fluid Reservoir: We discovered contaminants in the brake fluid reservoir, which could cause the brake system to work less effectively and lead to internal damage over time.
    Solution:
We cleaned the brake fluid reservoir thoroughly and refilled it with clean, high-quality brake fluid, ensuring the system remained free from contaminants that could compromise brake performance.
