Range Rover Sport Check Engine Light On Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we recently addressed a Check Engine Light (CEL) issue on a Range Rover Sport in Dubai. Our team conducted a thorough diagnostic check to identify the root causes of the warning light. Below are the key issues we found, along with the effective solutions we provided to restore the vehicle to optimal performance:

Issue Found:

  1. Faulty Oxygen Sensor
  • Issue: The oxygen sensor was malfunctioning, causing incorrect readings and leading to poor fuel efficiency and increased emissions.
  • Solution: We replaced the faulty oxygen sensor with a high-quality replacement, ensuring accurate readings for the engine control unit (ECU) and restoring fuel efficiency and emissions control.
  1. Loose or Damaged Gas Cap
  • Issue: The gas cap was loose and improperly sealed, triggering the Check Engine Light due to a possible fuel vapor leak.
  • Solution: We properly secured or replaced the damaged gas cap to prevent fuel vapor leaks, ensuring the vehicle’s fuel system remained sealed and the CEL issue was resolved.
  1. Misfiring Spark Plugs
  • Issue: Worn or misfiring spark plugs were causing engine misfires, leading to rough idling and reduced engine performance.
  • Solution: We replaced the spark plugs with new, high-performance plugs to restore smooth engine operation, improve combustion efficiency, and eliminate misfires.
  1. Faulty Mass Airflow Sensor
  • Issue: The mass airflow (MAF) sensor was dirty and malfunctioning, leading to incorrect air-fuel mixture readings and poor engine performance.
  • Solution: We cleaned or replaced the MAF sensor, restoring accurate airflow readings to optimize the air-fuel ratio, improving engine efficiency and performance.
  1. Failed Catalytic Converter
  • Issue: The catalytic converter was found to be clogged, affecting exhaust flow and triggering the CEL due to increased emissions.
  • Solution: We replaced the faulty catalytic converter to restore proper exhaust flow, reduce harmful emissions, and ensure the engine operates efficiently.
