We recently completed a power steering module repair for a client who was experiencing issues with their steering system. We replaced the faulty power steering module with a high-quality, OEM replacement. This restored the correct hydraulic pressure, ensuring effortless steering and improved driving comfort. - Electrical Connection Failure: The electrical connections to the power steering module were loose or corroded, leading to intermittent steering power assist loss. This created unpredictable steering behavior and was particularly noticeable at lower speeds.
Solution:
We repaired the electrical connections by cleaning the terminals and securing them properly. We also checked the wiring harness for any damage, ensuring a stable power supply to the module for consistent steering assistance. - Power Steering Fluid Leaks: The power steering system had developed fluid leaks near the module, causing a loss of fluid and reducing the effectiveness of the steering assist system. This could lead to further damage to the steering components if left unaddressed.
Solution:
We identified and sealed the fluid leaks, ensuring that all seals were in perfect condition. After refilling the system with the proper fluid, we conducted pressure tests to verify the integrity of the power steering system. - Inconsistent Steering Response: Due to the malfunctioning power steering module, the vehicle’s steering response was inconsistent. This made it challenging to maintain control, particularly when making sharp turns or navigating at high speeds.
Solution:
After replacing the power steering module, we calibrated the system to ensure smooth and consistent steering response. The vehicle now handles effortlessly and provides precise steering feedback. - Power Steering Warning Light Activation: The malfunctioning power steering module triggered the power steering warning light on the dashboard, alerting the driver to a fault in the system. This was often accompanied by a loss of power assist.
Solution:
After completing the repair and testing the system, we cleared the warning light from the dashboard and ensured that the power steering system was fully operational without any error codes.
