Range Rover HSE Hard Steering Rack Repair Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we specialize in diagnosing and repairing complex issues for luxury vehicles like the Range Rover HSE. Recently, we completed a hard steering rack repair for a client whose vehicle was experiencing stiffness and difficulty in steering, especially at low speeds. After a thorough inspection, we identified several issues that were causing the hard steering. Here are the problems we found and the solutions we implemented:

Issues Identified and Solutions:

  1. Low Power Steering Fluid: The power steering fluid was found to be low, which was causing the steering to feel heavy and unresponsive, especially when turning at slow speeds.
    Solution:
We topped up the power steering fluid with premium, OEM-approved fluid to restore proper lubrication and fluid pressure, ensuring smooth and responsive steering.
  2. Damaged Steering Rack Bushings: The steering rack bushings were worn out, leading to increased friction and stiffness in the steering system, causing the steering to become hard and difficult to control.
    Solution:
We replaced the worn bushings with high-quality OEM parts to reduce friction and restore smooth, effortless steering.
  3. Faulty Steering Rack:
The steering rack itself had developed internal issues, leading to the stiffness and lack of fluid movement, making the steering harder than normal.
    Solution:
We repaired or replaced the damaged steering rack with a new, high-quality OEM part, restoring proper function and ease of steering.
  4. Leaking Power Steering Pump: The power steering pump was leaking fluid, which led to a decrease in pressure and contributed to the hard steering, especially when maneuvering at lower speeds.
    Solution:
We replaced the faulty power steering pump with a new, OEM-quality pump, ensuring consistent fluid pressure and smooth steering operation.
  5. Worn or Damaged Steering Shaft U-Joint: The steering shaft U-joint was found to be worn or damaged, creating resistance and causing the steering to feel stiff or hard, especially when turning.
    Solution:
We replaced the worn U-joint with a new part, ensuring smooth rotation of the steering shaft and eliminating the stiffness during turns.
