Range Rover HSE Gearbox Oil Change Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we understand the importance of maintaining a well-functioning transmission system, especially in luxury vehicles like the Range Rover HSE. Recently, we completed a gearbox oil change for a client whose vehicle was showing signs of rough shifting and delayed gear changes. Upon inspection, we identified several issues that were contributing to the problem. Below are the issues we found and the solutions we implemented:

Issues Identified and Solutions:

  1. Old and Contaminated Gearbox Oil: The gearbox oil was old and contaminated, which had lost its ability to properly lubricate the transmission components, leading to rough shifts and potential long-term damage.
    Solution:
We performed a complete gearbox oil change, replacing the old, contaminated oil with fresh, high-quality OEM-approved fluid to restore proper lubrication and smooth gear operation.
  2. Clogged Oil Filter: The gearbox oil filter was clogged with debris and metal particles, preventing proper fluid circulation and risking internal damage to the gearbox components.
    Solution:
We replaced the clogged oil filter with a new, OEM-quality filter, ensuring optimal fluid flow and preventing contaminants from damaging the transmission.
  3. Low Gearbox Oil Level: The gearbox oil level was found to be lower than it should be, which could lead to poor lubrication and overheating of the gearbox.
    Solution:
We topped up the gearbox oil to the correct level with premium fluid, ensuring that the transmission was adequately lubricated for optimal performance.
  4. Worn Seals and Gaskets: During the oil change, we noticed that the seals and gaskets were worn, leading to potential leaks and fluid loss.
    Solution:
We replaced the worn seals and gaskets to prevent any fluid leakage, maintaining the integrity of the gearbox oil system and preventing future fluid loss.
  5. Sluggish Shifting Due to Low Fluid Pressure: The fluid pressure was low, which was causing sluggish and delayed shifting between gears, making driving uncomfortable.
    Solution:
After completing the gearbox oil change and ensuring the correct fluid level, we performed a test drive to verify that the fluid pressure was restored to optimal levels, resulting in smoother and more responsive shifting.
