At Meta Mechanics, we recently completed a full engine replacement for a Range Rover Evoque in Dubai. During our thorough inspection, we discovered several underlying issues that led to the need for a complete engine replacement. Here are the key problems we identified and the solutions we provided to restore the vehicle’s performance:
Issue Found:
- Severe Engine Damage Due to Oil Starvation
- Issue: The engine suffered severe internal damage caused by oil starvation, likely due to a failing oil pump or clogged oil passages, resulting in increased friction and wear.
- Solution: We replaced the damaged engine with a high-quality, fully rebuilt replacement engine, ensuring proper oil flow and restoring the vehicle’s reliability and performance.
- Blown Head Gasket
- Issue: The head gasket had blown, causing coolant and oil to mix, leading to engine misfires, overheating, and potential long-term engine damage.
- Solution: We replaced the blown head gasket during the engine replacement process, ensuring a proper seal between the engine block and cylinder head to prevent further coolant and oil mixing.
- Excessive Carbon Build-up in the Cylinders
- Issue: Excessive carbon build-up in the cylinders, caused by poor fuel combustion and engine inefficiency, was damaging engine components and reducing performance.
- Solution: In the replacement engine, we ensured that all carbon deposits were cleaned and removed to restore optimal combustion efficiency and overall engine performance.
- Faulty Timing Chain and Components
- Issue: The timing chain and related components were worn and misaligned, leading to poor engine timing, irregular valve operation, and potential engine failure.
- Solution: We installed a new timing chain, gears, and tensioners during the engine replacement to ensure accurate valve timing and prevent further damage to the engine’s internal components.
- Excessive Engine Wear and Tear
- Issue: After a thorough inspection, we found that the engine had excessive wear and tear in key components like pistons, bearings, and crankshaft, resulting in poor engine compression and performance.
- Solution: The worn engine was replaced with a fully remanufactured engine, ensuring that all internal components were in excellent condition and restored to optimal performance levels.
