- Leaking Hydraulic Fluid:
- Problem: One of the rear shock absorbers had developed a leak, allowing hydraulic fluid to escape. This results in a loss of damping ability, causing a rougher ride and diminished control over the vehicle’s suspension, particularly during hard braking or cornering.
- Solution: The leaking shock absorber was replaced with a new one. We refilled the shock absorber with the correct hydraulic fluid to ensure proper damping and smooth ride quality.
- Damaged Shock Mounts:
- Problem: We noticed that the shock mounts—which secure the shock absorbers to the vehicle’s suspension—were showing signs of wear. Damaged shock mounts can lead to noise, vibrations, and improper shock absorber alignment, affecting the overall suspension performance.
- Solution: We replaced the damaged shock mounts with durable, high-quality replacements. This step eliminated the noise and vibrations, ensuring that the shock absorbers were securely mounted and operating effectively.
- Corrosion on Suspension Components:
- Problem: During the repair process, we discovered some corrosion on suspension components near the rear shock absorbers, such as mounting bolts and bushings. Corrosion can weaken suspension parts, causing potential failure over time.
- Solution: We cleaned and treated the corroded parts, replacing any components that were too worn or damaged. By addressing the corrosion, we ensured the suspension system would remain in top condition for years to come.
- Alignment Issues:
