Audi RS5 Transmission Fluid Leak Repair Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we specialize in providing top-notch repair services for high-performance vehicles like the Audi RS5. Recently, we successfully completed a transmission fluid leak repair on an Audi RS5 in Dubai, and we want to share the details of the job, the issues we discovered, and the solutions we implemented.

Issue Found:

1. Worn Transmission Pan Gasket

Problem:

One of the main causes of the transmission fluid leak was a worn transmission pan gasket. Over time, gaskets can degrade due to heat and pressure, resulting in fluid leaks from the transmission pan.

Solution:

We removed the old transmission pan gasket and replaced it with a high-quality OEM gasket. After ensuring the new gasket was installed correctly, we tightened the transmission pan to manufacturer specifications. The new gasket created a proper seal, effectively stopping the fluid leak.

2. Leaking Transmission Cooler Lines

Problem:

Another significant issue we found was a leak in the transmission cooler lines. These lines carry transmission fluid to and from the transmission cooler, and any cracks or loose fittings can result in a fluid leak.

Solution:

We inspected the cooler lines thoroughly and found a crack in one of the lines. We replaced the damaged section of the line with a new, durable OEM replacement. After installation, we made sure the fittings were properly tightened to prevent any future leaks. We then filled the transmission with fresh fluid and tested the system for leaks.

3. Faulty Transmission Fluid Seals

Problem:

We also identified that some of the transmission fluid seals around the transmission shaft and other components were worn, leading to fluid seepage and leaks.

Solution:

Our technicians replaced the worn transmission seals with OEM-quality seals to restore the integrity of the transmission system. The new seals provide a tight and secure fit, preventing transmission fluid from leaking out. After installation, we ensured the seals were properly positioned and that the transmission fluid was at the correct level.

4. Loose or Damaged Transmission Drain Plug

Problem:

The transmission drain plug was found to be either loose or damaged, which could have been contributing to a slow but steady fluid leak.

Solution:

We replaced the damaged drain plug with a new OEM drain plug and ensured it was properly tightened to prevent any further leaks. We also replaced the drain plug washer to ensure a tight seal. After the replacement, we topped up the transmission fluid and conducted a test to ensure the system was sealed properly.
