Range Rover HSE Transmission Overheating Repair Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we specialize in addressing complex issues with luxury vehicles like the Range Rover HSE. Recently, we completed a transmission overheating repair for a client whose vehicle was showing signs of overheating, such as slipping gears and unusual noises. After a detailed inspection, we identified several key issues that were contributing to the overheating problem. Here are the issues we found and the solutions we implemented:

Issues Identified and Solutions:

  1. Low Transmission Fluid Level: The transmission fluid was low, which led to inadequate cooling and lubrication of the transmission, causing it to overheat.
    Solution:
We topped up the transmission fluid to the correct level with high-quality, OEM-approved fluid, ensuring proper cooling and lubrication to prevent overheating.
  2. Dirty or Clogged Transmission Cooler: The transmission cooler was clogged with debris, limiting its ability to cool the transmission fluid effectively.
    Solution:
We cleaned the transmission cooler thoroughly and ensured it was free from any blockages, restoring its ability to cool the transmission fluid and prevent overheating.
  3. Faulty Transmission Cooling Lines: The cooling lines were leaking or damaged, causing a loss of transmission fluid and inefficient cooling, which contributed to overheating.
    Solution:
We repaired or replaced the faulty cooling lines, ensuring a proper flow of fluid to the cooler and preventing further fluid loss and overheating.
  4. Worn Transmission Pump: The transmission pump was found to be worn, affecting fluid circulation and contributing to insufficient cooling of the transmission.
    Solution:
We replaced the worn transmission pump with a new, OEM-quality part, restoring proper fluid circulation and improving cooling efficiency to prevent overheating.
  5. Slipping Clutches and Low Fluid Pressure: Slipping clutches and low fluid pressure due to internal wear were causing excessive heat buildup in the transmission.
    Solution:
We serviced the transmission by replacing worn components and adjusting the fluid pressure to ensure the clutches engaged properly, preventing further heat buildup and restoring smooth transmission operation.
