Range Rover Sport Transmission Malfunction Repair Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we understand how important your vehicle’s transmission is for smooth and reliable performance. Recently, we had the opportunity to address a transmission malfunction on a Range Rover Sport in Dubai. Transmission malfunctions can lead to a variety of issues, from erratic shifting to complete transmission failure, which is why it’s essential to have the problem diagnosed and repaired as soon as possible. During our inspection, we identified several key issues and implemented the right solutions to restore optimal transmission functionality.

Issues Found During Transmission Malfunction Repair:

  1. Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM): The Transmission Control Module, which is responsible for regulating gear shifts, was found to be malfunctioning, causing erratic shifting patterns and poor performance.
    Solution:
We replaced the faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM) with a new OEM part, ensuring that the transmission would shift smoothly and efficiently, restoring the vehicle’s driving performance.
  2. Worn Out Clutch Packs and Bands: The clutch packs and bands were heavily worn, which caused delayed or harsh shifts, affecting both driving comfort and the longevity of the transmission.
    Solution:
We replaced the worn clutch packs and bands with high-quality replacement components, restoring smooth shifting and efficient power transfer.
  3. Damaged Solenoids: The transmission solenoids, which regulate the flow of fluid within the transmission, were found to be damaged, leading to improper fluid pressure and erratic shifts.
    Solution:
We replaced the faulty solenoids with new, OEM-quality parts, ensuring proper fluid pressure regulation and smooth, responsive gear changes.
  4. Low or Contaminated Transmission Fluid: We found that the transmission fluid was either low or contaminated, which can cause poor lubrication, overheating, and damage to internal components.
    Solution:
We performed a complete transmission fluid flush, removing the old, contaminated fluid, and replaced it with fresh, high-quality transmission fluid to restore proper lubrication and cooling.
  5. Faulty Valve Body: The valve body, which controls the flow of transmission fluid to different components, was found to be malfunctioning, causing the transmission to operate erratically and inefficiently.
    Solution:
We replaced the faulty valve body with a new OEM part, ensuring proper fluid distribution and restoring reliable transmission performance.
