Range Rover Sport Transmission Fluid Change Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we are dedicated to maintaining the performance and longevity of your vehicle. Recently, we completed a transmission fluid change on a Range Rover Sport in Dubai. During our inspection, we identified several issues that could affect the vehicle’s transmission performance. Here are the problems we found and the solutions we provided to ensure smooth operation.

Issues Found During Transmission Fluid Change:

  1. Contaminated Transmission Fluid: The transmission fluid was found to be contaminated, which can cause internal transmission parts to wear out more quickly, resulting in shifting issues and poor performance.
    Solution:
We performed a complete flush of the contaminated fluid and replaced it with high-quality transmission fluid, restoring optimal lubrication and preventing further wear on the transmission.
  2. Low Fluid Level: The fluid level was lower than recommended, which can lead to overheating, poor shifting performance, and possible damage to the transmission.
    Solution:
We topped up the transmission fluid to the proper level and ensured it was filled with the correct fluid type to ensure proper lubrication and cooling of the transmission components.
  3. Leaking Transmission Pan Gasket: During the fluid change, we found that the transmission pan gasket was leaking, which could result in fluid loss over time and cause the transmission to operate inefficiently.
    Solution:
We replaced the damaged transmission pan gasket with a new, high-quality gasket, ensuring a secure seal and preventing future fluid leaks.
  4. Worn Transmission Filter: The transmission filter was clogged with debris, reducing the fluid flow and allowing contaminants to circulate in the transmission, potentially leading to damage.
    Solution:
We replaced the old transmission filter with a new OEM part, restoring proper fluid filtration and preventing contaminants from damaging the transmission.
  5. Signs of Excessive Wear on Internal Components: During the inspection, we observed signs of internal component wear due to the old, degraded transmission fluid, which can lead to slipping, erratic shifting, and potential transmission failure.
    Solution:
Along with the fluid change, we recommended a thorough inspection of the transmission’s internal components. Any worn parts were replaced to restore smoothand reliable shifting performance.
