Range Rover Velar Transmission Malfunction Repair Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we take pride in our ability to diagnose and repair complex transmission issues. Recently, we were tasked with resolving a transmission malfunction in a Range Rover Velar. After conducting a thorough inspection, we identified several issues that were causing the transmission to fail. Below are the key problems we found and the solutions we implemented to restore the vehicle’s transmission to full working order.

Issues Found During Transmission Malfunction Diagnosis:

  1. Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM): The Transmission Control Module, which manages gear shifting and fluid pressure, was found to be malfunctioning. This caused erratic shifting, slipping gears, and unresponsive transmission behavior.
    Solution:
We replaced the faulty TCM with a high-quality OEM part, ensuring that the transmission system received accurate signals for smooth and responsive gear shifting.
  2. Worn Out Clutch Packs: The clutch packs were found to be heavily worn, leading to slipping, delayed shifts, and loss of power during acceleration.
    Solution:
We replaced the worn clutch packs with new, high-performance parts, restoring the transmission’s ability to engage gears smoothly and improving overall power transfer.
  3. Low or Contaminated Transmission Fluid: During the inspection, we found that the transmission fluid was both low and contaminated with metal particles, which had reduced its lubricating properties and caused overheating.
    Solution:
We drained the old, contaminated fluid and replaced it with fresh, high-quality transmission fluid, ensuring proper lubrication, cooling, and protection of the internal components.
  4. Malfunctioning Solenoids: The transmission solenoids, responsible for controlling fluid pressure and shifting functions, were malfunctioning, which contributed to the inconsistent performance and poor shifting.
    Solution:
We replaced the faulty solenoids to ensure that fluid pressure was accurately regulated, allowing the transmission to operate efficiently and improving gear shifting precision.
  5. Damaged Torque Converter: The torque converter, responsible for transmitting engine power to the transmission, was found to be damaged. This led to inefficient power transfer and slipping, affecting the vehicle’s acceleration and overall performance.
    Solution:
We replaced the damaged torque converter with a high-quality, new part, restoring smooth power transfer and eliminating issues with slipping and poor acceleration.
