Range Rover Sport Transmission Oil Change Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality automotive services, ensuring your vehicle operates smoothly and reliably. Recently, we had the opportunity to carry out a Transmission Oil Change on a Range Rover Sport here in Dubai. During the service, our expert technicians identified several underlying issues that needed attention. Below is an overview of the problems discovered and the solutions we provided to keep the vehicle performing at its best.

Identified Issues:

  1. Contaminated Transmission Oil
    • Problem: The transmission oil was heavily contaminated with metal particles, debris, and dirt. Contaminated oil can severely affect the performance of the transmission system by impairing lubrication, causing excessive wear, and potentially leading to overheating.
    • Solution: We thoroughly drained the contaminated transmission fluid and performed a complete flush of the system to remove all debris. Afterward, we filled the transmission with high-quality, manufacturer-recommended transmission fluid to ensure proper lubrication and cooling.
  2. Old and Worn Transmission Oil
    • Problem: The transmission oil had significantly degraded due to extended use without a change. This can result in poor shifting, slipping, or delayed response from the transmission.
    • Solution: We replaced the old transmission oil with fresh, high-performance fluid designed for Range Rover Sport models, ensuring smooth gear shifts and optimal performance.
  3. Leaks in Transmission Seals
    • Problem: During the inspection, we found small leaks around the transmission seals, which were contributing to a gradual loss of fluid. Low fluid levels can cause damage to the internal components of the transmission, leading to costly repairs.
    • Solution: Our technicians replaced the faulty transmission seals to prevent further leakage and maintain the proper fluid levels. We also ensured that the new seals were fitted tightly to avoid any future leaks.
  4. Dirty Transmission Filter
    • Problem: The transmission filter was clogged with sludge and debris, restricting the flow of transmission fluid. This can cause poor fluid circulation, which affects the performance of the transmission and can result in overheating or erratic shifting.
    • Solution: We cleaned the transmission filter thoroughly and replaced it with a new OEM filter, ensuring that fluid flows smoothly throughout the system and that contaminants are effectively filtered out.
  5. Low Transmission Fluid Levels
    • Problem: The transmission fluid levels were low, which can lead to improper lubrication and overheating of the transmission, putting stress on its components.
    • Solution: After performing a fluid level check, we topped off the transmission fluid to the correct levels using the recommended fluid for the Range Rover Sport. We also provided guidance on how to monitor fluid levels in the future to prevent potential issues.
