Range Rover Evoque Gearbox Oil Leak Repair Dubai

At Meta Mechanics, we specialize in offering high-quality repair services for luxury vehicles like the Range Rover Evoque. Recently, our team successfully completed a gearbox oil leak repair for a Range Rover Evoque in Dubai. During the inspection, we identified several key issues that were contributing to the gearbox oil leak. Below are the issues found and the solutions we provided to ensure the vehicle’s gearbox functioned optimally.

Issues Identified During the Inspection:

  1. Worn Gearbox Oil Seals: The gearbox oil seals were found to be worn and deteriorated, leading to an oil leak. These seals prevent gearbox oil from escaping and over time, heat and pressure can cause them to degrade.
    Solution:
We replaced the damaged seals with OEM-approved seals to restore proper sealing, preventing any oil leakage and maintaining gearbox integrity.
  2. Damaged Gearbox Sump Pan Gasket: The sump pan gasket was found to be damaged, allowing gearbox oil to leak from the bottom of the gearbox. This gasket seals the sump pan to the gearbox casing, and any damage can result in significant fluid loss.
    Solution:
We replaced the damaged sump pan gasket with a new, OEM-approved gasket, ensuring a tight, leak-free seal that prevents further oil loss from the gearbox.
  3. Loose Gearbox Bolts: Several gearbox bolts were found to be loose, causing the gearbox oil to escape from the casing. Loose bolts can disrupt the seal between the gearbox components and lead to fluid leakage.
    Solution:
We carefully re-tightened all loose bolts and replaced any damaged bolts with OEM-approved bolts, ensuring the gearbox casing was secure and properly sealed.
  4. Cracked Gearbox Housing: The gearbox housing had a small crack, which was identified as a source of the oil leak. Cracks in the gearbox housing can result from wear, extreme pressure, or impact.
    Solution:
We replaced the cracked gearbox housing with a new, OEM-approved gearbox housing, restoring the structural integrity of the gearbox and eliminating the oil leak.
  5. Worn or Damaged Gearbox Oil Filter: The gearbox oil filter was found to be worn, which can lead to oil contamination and leakage. A damaged filter can cause improper filtration of the gearbox oil, leading to leaks and poor transmission performance.
    Solution:
We replaced the old, worn gearbox oil filter with a new, high-quality OEM-approved filter, ensuring that the oil remained clean and the gearbox operated smoothly.
