Issue Found:

  1. Worn or Damaged Radiator Hoses
    • Problem: The radiator hoses transport coolant between the engine and the radiator. Over time, these hoses can wear out, crack, or develop leaks due to age, heat, and pressure. A leaking hose can result in coolant loss, leading to engine overheating.
    • Solution: During the inspection, we found that the lower radiator hose was cracked, leading to a slow coolant leak. We replaced the damaged hose with a new, high-quality replacement hose that matched Audi’s specifications, ensuring a proper seal and preventing future leaks.
  2. Cracked or Leaking Radiator
    • Problem: The radiator itself can develop cracks or leaks due to corrosion, impact, or excessive pressure from the cooling system. A damaged radiator can lead to coolant loss and cause engine temperatures to rise to dangerous levels.
    • Solution: After a thorough inspection, we discovered a small crack on the radiator core. We replaced the old radiator with a new, OEM-equivalent unit, restoring the system’s efficiency and preventing coolant leakage.
  3. Faulty Water Pump
    • Problem: The water pump circulates coolant throughout the engine and radiator. Over time, the water pump seals can wear out, leading to coolant leaks. A malfunctioning water pump can also result in poor coolant circulation, causing engine overheating.
    • Solution: We found that the water pump seal was leaking, leading to a loss of coolant. We replaced the faulty water pump with a new OEM-equivalent pump to restore proper coolant circulation and eliminate the leak.
  4. Leaking Coolant Reservoir
    • Problem: The coolant reservoir holds excess coolant and allows for expansion and contraction as the engine heats up and cools down. Over time, the reservoir can crack or develop leaks due to wear or age, resulting in coolant loss.
    • Solution: In this case, we discovered that the coolant reservoir had developed a hairline crack. We replaced the damaged reservoir with a new, genuine replacement part, ensuring that the coolant system remained sealed and pressurized.
  5. Damaged Thermostat Housing or Seals
    • Problem: The thermostat housing regulates the flow of coolant to maintain optimal engine temperature. If the housing or its seals become damaged, it can lead to leaks, reducing coolant levels and causing overheating.
    • Solution: We identified a leak around the thermostat housing seal. We replaced the damaged housing seal and ensured the housing was properly tightened to prevent any future leaks.
