Issues Found:
- Worn-Out Front Shock Absorbers:
- Problem: The primary issue we found was that the front shock absorbers were severely worn. This caused poor handling, increased body roll, and an overall reduction in ride quality. Worn shock absorbers can also lead to uneven tire wear and poor braking performance.
- Solution: We replaced the damaged shock absorbers with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts specifically designed for the Audi SQ5. The new shock absorbers were installed to restore optimal ride comfort, reduce body roll, and improve handling, ensuring that the vehicle’s suspension performs at its best.
- Leaking Shock Absorber Fluid:
- Problem: One of the front shock absorbers was found to be leaking hydraulic fluid, which is essential for damping the suspension’s movement. Leaking fluid leads to a loss of shock absorber efficiency and can compromise the vehicle’s stability and ride quality.
- Solution: The damaged shock absorber was replaced, and the new absorber was properly filled with the correct fluid to restore the damping capability. This ensures a smooth ride and maintains the vehicle’s performance during cornering and braking.
- Broken Shock Mounts:
- Problem: During the replacement process, we found that the shock mounts were damaged, causing the shock absorbers to misalign and leading to noise and vibrations during driving.
- Solution: We replaced the worn shock mounts with high-quality replacements, ensuring the shock absorbers were properly aligned and securely mounted. This not only eliminated the noise and vibration but also ensured proper suspension performance.
- Corrosion on Suspension Components:
- Problem: Corrosion was found on some of the suspension components around the front shock absorbers, including bolts and mounting brackets. Corrosion can weaken the suspension and lead to further damage over time.
- Solution: We cleaned and treated the corroded parts, replacing any components that were beyond repair. This step helps to prevent future corrosion and ensures the longevity of the suspension system.
- Imbalanced Suspension Alignment:
- Problem: The imbalanced condition caused by the worn-out shock absorbers led to improper alignment, which could affect tire wear and steering precision.
