Recently, we had the opportunity to perform a brake pad replacement on a Rolls AUDI SQ3, and during the inspection and service, we uncovered several critical issues that needed immediate attention. Issue Identified:
1. Worn Brake Pads
- Issue: The front and rear brake pads had significantly worn down, which could compromise braking efficiency and safety.
- Solution: We replaced the old brake pads with high-quality, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) replacements that are designed to match the performance standards of the Rolls AUDI SQ3. The new pads will provide smoother braking and reduced wear, ensuring longer service life and improved stopping power.
2. Uneven Pad Wear
- Issue: The brake pads showed signs of uneven wear, particularly on the passenger side. This could indicate misalignment or an issue with the brake calipers.
- Solution: We performed a full inspection of the brake calipers and found no signs of hydraulic issues. However, we re-aligned the brake components and cleaned the calipers to prevent further uneven wear. 3. Damaged Brake Rotor Surface

- Solution: We recommended a rotor resurfacing (if within tolerance) or full replacement. Since safety is paramount, we opted for a complete rotor replacement with high-performance variants to restore full braking efficiency.
4. Brake Fluid Contamination
- Issue: During the inspection, we found the brake fluid had become contaminated, which can lead to a decrease in brake performance and cause corrosion in the brake system over time.
- Solution: We performed a complete brake fluid flush and replaced it with fresh, high-grade fluid to ensure optimal performance and protect the integrity of the brake system.
5. Excessive Brake Dust Build-Up
- Issue: The brake pads had accumulated excessive brake dust, which can affect the overall braking efficiency and cause premature wear on the pads and rotors.
- Solution: In addition to replacing the pads, we thoroughly cleaned the entire brake assembly and applied an anti-dust treatment to minimize future build-up. This helps to improve brake performance and keeps the components cleaner for longer.
