Issue Identified:

1. Inspection of the Brake System:

3. Flushing the Brake System:

  • Problem: Moisture and air can become trapped in the brake fluid over time, which compromises the hydraulic system’s effectiveness.
  • Solution: We performed a brake fluid flush to completely remove any contaminants from the brake lines and replace it with fresh, high-quality DOT-approved brake fluid that meets Audi’s specifications. Flushing the system ensures there is no air or moisture in the lines and that the braking system operates at peak efficiency.

4. Refilling with OEM-Approved Brake Fluid:

  • Problem: Using the wrong type of brake fluid or improperly mixed fluid can cause poor brake performance and damage to the braking system.
  • Solution: We refilled the master cylinder with fresh, OEM-approved brake fluid designed for Audi vehicles. This ensures that the brake fluid’s viscosity, boiling point, and other properties match the manufacturer’s standards for optimal braking performance.

5. Bleeding the Brakes:

  • Problem: After replacing the brake fluid, it’s essential to remove any air that might have entered the system during the fluid replacement process. Air in the brake lines can cause the brake pedal to feel spongy and result in poor braking performance.
  • Solution: We bled the brakes to remove any trapped air from the brake lines and ensure the brake pedal response was firm and consistent. This step is critical for restoring the full efficiency of the braking system.
